When it comes to beds, there are many different types out there to choose from such as folding beds, divan beds, French beds, and princess beds, to name a few. Choosing the best one to fit someone’s life style may take a little research. The first step in doing so is to figure out a budget.
Once the amount the consumer wants to spend has been set, it is time to figure out where the bed will go and what it will be used for. If the product is to be used for overnight guests or in case of emergency, then a folding bed is the way to go. They are cost efficient and can easily be put away or pulled back out for special occasions such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and parties where guests will be drinking.

Divan or day beds serve double duty as a sort of couch and a bed, and are usually inexpensive. They are great for placing in smaller rooms because they are three sided. Their dimensions make them good for putting against a wall. They are really cute and look great by large windows and in little nooks and corners of the home.
French beds are a little more expensive. They are sturdy, elegant, and usually have intricate designs about the headboards. They can add grace and style to any room.
Princess beds usually have a canopy and works well in a feminine setting or a girl’s room; however, they do come in big, masculine king or queen sizes as well. They can be found in mansions, castles, and ordinary rooms alike. They are usually expensive in price; however, they are certainly worth the royal feelings they can evoke. No matter what one’s decorating needs are, the right bed can be found for any home.
How To Make The Perfect Bed
Once you’ve got the perfect bed, you need to know how to make the perfect bed. The bed is where we spend about a third of our lives so you need to make it inviting. Buy the best bedding that you can afford. Using a variety of fabrications will give the bed a lot of interest visually and still appeal to all the senses. Watch as Steven Whitehead discusses some of the more important matters on making the perfect bed.
Did you catch the updated version of the “Hospital Corner“? I used to hate making those, but he makes these seem really easy to accomplish. Be sure to roll the extra fabric back in thirds to give a nice layer at the foot of the bed. Stack the pillowcases and then the decorative shams.
How many pillows for the perfect bed?
There is no right or wrong amount of pillows that you can have. It basically comes down to what looks right and what feels right and what you are willing to move at night to make for a soft and inviting bed. For me that’s the big one. I’d rather not be moving pillows on and off the bed. I’m not one for excess though, I like a more minimalist look.
What’s the perfect bed for cuddling?

To me, the perfect bed for cuddling with someone has to be big and open. You don’t want a lot of things that can catch the eye or become a distraction like intricate poles or headboards. After all, you are cuddling with that special person so you want to spend your time focused on them and not the intricate carvings or posts extending from the bed frame. It has to be soft, the use of some crisp, high thread count egyptian cotton sheets are a must. The bedspread would have to be something like a down comforter for comfort. Whether you are on top of it or under neath it, it will fill fresh and light. Add in some very large and soft pillows that you can rest your heads upon and you’ve got the perfect bed for cuddling or sleeping!
